Many things can be said about the English education system. Being surrounded by home-educating parents, I hear a lot of criticism. One of them is the early start: It is a tough call to send small children to school at just four years of age. But thenagain, the start of school in England is a lovely, slow approach, and the reception years are a fascinating first step.
